im thinking about getting Doom3 for PC. Im selling my halo tsa hopper so I can buy it. I just wondering if the multi-player mode is any good, and the game its self is any good.

doom 3 is alright, but its nothing compared the hl2 plus with all the mods that will be coming out soon, there really is no reason not to buy hl2

i wouldnt sell anything to get it. if you were really intent on getting a game, i'd say half life 2 silver package. best deal if you dont own any half life games. the silver package comes with half life 2, counterstrike:source, counter-strike1.6, half-life:source, half-life, condition zero, day of defeat:source, day of defeat, ricochet, and team fortress classic. doom 3 was alright, it was nothing special. the multiplayer was stupid.

I guess im gonna put hl2 for pc then. I beat blue shift, and the other game. Is the multi-player mode on hl3 the same as it was in blueshift?, like you can me a medic, sniper, assult, ect? O, and are there two versions of hl-2?

thats team fortress classic. a new sequel has been in the works for years... who knows when it will come out.

No, i dont have rome totatl war but i got hl2... counter strike source is tight uhh there is no new blue shift.. if you buy HALF-LIFE 2 SILVER Package then you get:

The only multiplayer things are HL2 Deathmatch which is just deathmatch and then theres Counter Strike Source which is awsome. Idk how to explain it lol

Like Prophet said, Doom 3 blew. Don't get it. It has NO multiplayer at all. 4 people at a time, crappy maps, everything sucks.

HL 2 is such a better deal. Go with that. It actaually has replay value, great multiplayer, and comes with a lot of stuff.

I just wanna play HL2 single player, and multiplayer. correct me if im wroing, but Deathmatch and counter-strike: source are multiplayer right?

So if I get the silver package, I get hl2 single player, 2 modes of multiplayer, hl1, and day of defeat? (whats day of defeat?)

day of defeat is a WWII mod for hl, they havent released DOD source yet, but i guess its supposed to come out in the near future

and yes, hl2 deathmatch and CS source are multiplayer

yeah u get hl2 single player and u get hl2 deathmatch which is multi and cs:s which is multi. day of defeat is a war type game thats multiplayer.. ive never played it

I personaly liked Doom 3, now that might be because I have a big screen and surround soulnd on my computer that made it more fun, but I thought it was great, I would recommend getting it when the price goes down to like, 20, that way, even if you dont like it, you didnt blow a wad on it.

with that one you get hl2 and counterstrike source. thats just the regular version, the only place ive seen the silver package is straight from steam.

but when you buy it be prepared for one of the worst ever intalations on a computer

1. what/where is "steam"?
2. How much will the silver package cost?
3. And wtf is an intalation? (is it when it has to install in to your comp or somethin?)

1. Steam is the program you have to use to play HL2, CS:S and everything Valve and Half Life related.

2. The silver package is $60.

3. Intallation sounds like a typo for installation. And yes, you have to install it.
