i meant when the sender pays for the item to be shipped.
so if I went to the post office and said I wanna ship this thing, I should have a tracking number immediately after I've given the post office guy my money. The number is printed on the waybill. The postal clerk doesn't "send" you a tracking number.

that's what I meant.

the post office does that, not UPS.....and i sent it UPS and they said they would e-mail me the tracking code as soon as it shipped, which they didnt so i went to the UPS store and got it from them directly
