The one shooting hottest. Unless you involve the flatline barrel, but i thats not something i feel like getting into right now.

nub.

distance is a matter of velocity unless controlled spin is involved.

so the furthest shooting tippmann would be any one that you want to put a flatline on.

That's great, but once he realizes that all markers have pretty much the same range if they're all set to the same velocity, he'll be better off.

"Pretty much the same range" assumes such things as paint to bore match and all the other little things are also the same gun to gun.

What is it, other than science of course, that can convince you and everyone else that the flatline DOES NOT SHOOT FURTHER?!!

if you put 2 guns to the test, a flatlined and a stock barrel and point them straight forward, the flatline will go a little farther. thats wtihout a non flatlined gun shooting up a bit to gain more range.

If all 3 are shooting teh same fps, then they should all go just about teh same. Unless one of them has a flatline on it.

Here we go...

Yes, the flatline will get a little more distance, however, if you put a target out at the markers maximum range, the flatline will get more bounces. The effective range of the flatline remains about the same as any normal barrel. Thats what my experiances with the barrel have shown. You will likely not get a break on far off targets.

The flatline does not give you more effective range. That is obvious. The only reason to use a flatline is to be able to shoot flat accurate shots. At 100' the flatline will easily hit it's target without using any arc. A straight barrel will need arc. This is great when playing in the woods. I get kills with my flatline that I normally would not be able to get with a straight barrel. Close range they are all equal. But from a distane >75' the flatline stays, well, flat. Pretty simple.

I 100% agree with you, that is the exact same outlook i have on the flatline.
