the egrip just has different settings.
Semi-Auto: Fires 1 Shot for each trigger pull.
Auto-Response: Fires 1 Shot for each trigger pull or release.
Full Auto: Fires Repeatedly as long as the trigger is held.
3 Shot Burst: Fires 3 Shots for each trigger pull.
Turbo: Fires 1 shot for every trigger pull, fires 1 shot for every trigger pull or release if the time between trigger pulls is less than .25 seconds.

Well, if your intrested in tourney, you usually cant use the RT.....but you can use the e-grip...and no the e-grip plus response trigger dont go together....you just gotta make the decisionon which you wont...you could always sell the RT if you need the money

go with the e grip cuz it has the response mode in it and can be turned off for tournament play. and its only like $25-$30 more. go with the e grip.

No new hopper!!
Cyclone feed is great...saves money on batteries which are more expensive than air and its fast (forcefeed).

The rico R5 hopper is just the upper shell. You still maintain the cyclone feed when you upgrade to the Rico R5. The Rico R5 is a 15 bucks well spent. My friend has one and it looks much nicer than that janky looking stock hopper ontop of the A5.

the cyclone consists of 2 parts: the feeder (which is the actual cyclone)and the part that holds the paintballs (hopper) the R5 is a replacement for the hopper on the cyclone but the cyclone feed system remains untouched.

I new hopper is the FIRST thing to get. It is only $15 and having a spare is a MUST. If for whatever reason you break the stock hopper and don't have a spare the gun is done for the day. Most other guns at least you can throw any old gravity hopper on it. For $15 you have a better looking hopper and the piece of mind knowing that if you take a tumble and break the hopper you have spare waiting. For the price of a bag of balls it is money well spent.
You already have rt, barrel, and hpa. Which is great start and a solid foundation. I would recommend a folding stock with RVA. Or if the folding stock is not your thing then just a RVA
