Project help, 98c to 20-30 bps?
Ok, so I have been thinking about trying to get a 98c to the neighborhood of 20 to 30 bps. Its a secret as to how for now. I know I will obviously need a superfast hopper, etc. My question is, can a 98c physically do that rate of fire mechanically ? Ie, can the marker cycle fast enough, assuming I could pull the trigger that fast(obviously you cant)? Chopping is a non issue, for now. Also assume HPA is used, so theres no drop in pressure, freezing, etc. Lets just say if I had a way to pull the trigger back and forth 20 to 30 times a second, could the gun keep up?

the question is does the valve give enough air w/out shootdown. U might get a fast enough reg (aka 2 liter, i hear a high pressure output version is coming soon)

I was thinking of paint. Going to need a mad fast hopper on there. Maybe a Q-loader would do it.

Yeah a hopper upgrade would be a must. Man I need to get to working on this then, lol. By the way, it will be all Tippmann internals.

...wow, all tippmann spec internals? That's going to be hard. U may need to add a qev to the ram. perhaps get a new valve (maybe try to get a spyder valve to fit)

I thought we were dealing with a blowback. If it is E-bolted, than I take back my statement about it being able to go that fast. Stock E-Bolt kits are mechanically limited to like 13cps or something like that.

a qev? ram? tippmanns recock by blowback gasses, not like closed bolt cockers.
q-loader that shiznizzle and you should be fine. but for the speed ur looking for, youd need to bust a modified Response Trigger. Milkman on tippmann.com forums did 24cps with his, havent seen anything like that with paint

A qev to the ram? you lost me there, lol. yeah, I fugure anyone can put other gun parts in a Tippmann frame and call it a Tippmann, but what I want is a Tippy that flat rips. Ive got a ton of projects in my head, a radio controlled turret, etc. Just have to find the time and $ to make them happen. And having a friend that works for Nasa helps too

I assumed it was a ebloted 98c. Which uses a ram (i think) therefor a qev can be added to help it cycle faster.
So is it a e-bolted 98c? or not...?

Fairly stock 98C, trigger spring mod, polished internals.

Which brings me back to my original question, can a stock (forgot that part) 98c cycle at , lets say 18 bps? I mean if one could physically pull the trigger 18 times in a second? again, ball chopping not considered?

Pretty much. A heavy-modified RT will get up to 25, and all it does is basically make the trigger bounce. The same thing would happen if it was possible to pull that fast.

So a actual 20 bps is possible? Excellent!!!!!!! That should be enough to shut down those electronic guns, lol.

a blowback like a tippmann could probablly cycle over 50 cps if you had mirror smooth internals and a super-high flowing tank/regulator. no hopper can feed that fast, but stop worrying about the gun not being able to cycle that fast, lol. 20-30 bps is nothing on a blowback gun, even without polished internals you would probablly get somewhere around 35-40 cps.
