Question about HPA with the A5

New to these boards, and got a question.

Pretty new to paintball, but so far I love woodsball, and bought an A5 with a Flatline, which works great.

Wondering what I would need to convert my gun from using c02, to HPA. I dont really have any clue what type of stuff I will need, except for a HPA tank lol, and wondering if its worth it? If this is the wrong area to post this type of question, then sorry. Im sure I could have spent an hour searching the web for the information, but then I wouldnt get a chance to meet any of the people on these boards.

Hello, welcome to Paintballforum!

You do not need anything to convert your Tippmann to HPA. Just buy the HPA tank and get it filled then screw it in just like a co2 tank. In my opinion it's worth every penny and you'll never want to go back. HPA is much more consistant, cleaner, and in most cases, cheaper to fill and the tank is lighter than a c02 tank.

If you have any more questions then don't hesitate to ask.

Enjoy your stay!

Ok sweet, didnt know if I needed a heavyduty bolt or powertube or what, thanks for the info!

Anyone got any input on a good HPA tank, or do N2 and HPA work in the same tank? Not sure what to look for, would like a decent size tank, not some behemoth, but something that will last me a good day of playing and then some.

make sure there is a place near you/your field that fills your hpa tank.

crossfire 68/4500 is a great tank
Pure Energy 68/4500 isnt bad either

Stay away from the 3A tanks that were once rampant on ebay.

fiber wrapped would be a good over steel. my a-5 with my steel tank isn't balanced out well at all.

I use a pure energy 68/4500 and i love it. just get a fiber wrapped 68/4500 tank made by Pure energy, crossfire, centerflag, nitto duck, whatever ppl suggest. stay away from dye throttle, they are one of the worst tanks ever.
