The cyclone will not keep up with 25 BPS , but the ROF is adjustable down to 15, along with the ramping modes, and response modes. If you do want 2 or 3 extra bps I would suggest getting a QEV from palmers. the cyclone will not skip or chop if the 15 bps is not surpassed, you can probably even push it to 17 or 18 with a QEV, they run for about 20$. This boards msrp is about 80$ but you may be able to score one for less, it has not been released to the public yet, that should come in a month or so. The only other board for the a-5 is the wicked air sportz equalizer, wich sucks compaired to the rampage, the rampage offers a total of seven fireing modes and 25 bps, while the WAS offers three and 30 bps. If you really want me to get into the pros and cons I will, but only on request, I dont really want to get chewed out buy the WAS lovers. The site and place to buy the rampage is @ goapeonline.com, or click on the link I supplied in my first post the one with the ape (its kind of small). I will be reciving a pre released proto type of the board for ctitic and testing, and will post such results and hopefully video of it.

Heres the deal, if you want an a-5 without the cyclone.. just get a 98, an a-5 is an a-5 because it has the cyclone, I cant believe somebody would pay the extra money for the cyclone feed- cause thats what your paying for- only to rip it off. Also, why spend so much money for a board that can produce 30bps in an a-5 when the cyclone will only alow 15bps. If you want faster bps, get a faster gun. But thats just my opinion. Peace out.

well I got my a-5 when I was a noob because i was told it is a very reliable rugged gun, it has not disappointed, as the years went on I bought after market parts to better suit my evolving game and the cyclone could be the next to go. What you said, is like, why would you buy the gun if your just going to get a different barrel. Paintball evolves... what seemed like a good idea in the beginning may not be good for your fancy of play.
And the A-5 and 98 are different, like the power tube, fore bolt, the striker assembly, and general appearance, yes they are both blow back designs, but there mechanisms are different. personally I hate the look of the 98, I like the way the A-5 looks like an mp5k, and I’ve already invested enough money in my marker that if I did buy a 98 I would lose money just so I can pull 25 bps, it would be much cheaper to swap out the cyclone.
oh yeah and go ape updated their site it looks cool, and their having a sale
the first 500 people to buy the rampage get it for 50$!!!

Good answer and thanks for helpin me see the big picture. There are many different reasons to upgrade and change a gun... But I guess for me.. I wll leave my cyclone feed on for now. I have to agree, I also think the 98 is not as attractive as the a-5. So I guess I could see myself taking the cyclone off in order to achieve 25bps. However, I dont have the money to spend balls like that!! Ill stick to my 15bps, after all I do mostly woods/scenario play. Keep it Real

You don't understand. The A-5 CAN"T SHOOT OVER 17 or 18 bps!!! Why would you want 35?
