hi, Merry Christmas! i got a Tippmann 98 Custom package thingy for christmas it came wit a Tippmann mask 9oz C02 can, hopper, and the gun. i also got paint.

i havnt shot the gun yet cuz i got to fill the tank up but i cant wait to. i got a friend that will help me with this new sport cuz he used to play and now he is going to start back up. but i am wondering if i can use Tippimann A-5 mods on a 98c cuz that would be cool. i mean the look the same...but if i cant wat r good things i should get for my stock gun?

No, you can't use the same upgrades on the 98 custom as the A5. When you order your parts, or buy them from your shop, it will specify for which gun it will be able to go on.

hey thx.. i got 1 more question i think...lol but um wat is velocity i was reading it in the manual and it said something about adjusting it and wat not and i need some type of messurer to do this

lol i got another question...would an Electric hopper be good even tho i dont have autofire its just semi..cuz ive been here that wit the feed u ball wont blowback(i think thats wat its called) into ur hopper..but if its good then would a Halo B hopper wit rip drive...my friend said thats a pretty good type

Velocity- Its the speed of your ball as it leaves the barrel of your gun. The max allowed is 300 feet per second. This is for safty reasons. Yes, you need to go to a local paintball course to get it measured, all you do is shoot the paintball gun and the machine tells you how fast the paint is going. For right now just keep it set kinda low so you don't hurt anyone and when you get a chance go get it tested.

For the tippmann 98 you don't need an Electonic hopper, unless you get a trigger upgrade. Until then your stock gravity feed hopper works great. The "blowback" that your talking about is the type of air system your tippmann 98 has, don't worry about balls blowing back into the hopper, thats not what they mean by that.

As for the Halo B with rip drive, that hopper really expensive but its really good. It goes like 25 bps, and your 98 will probbly never touch that. At most u'll only need a revy hopper or a Halo TSA for your 98. But until you get a trigger upgrade your stock gravity feed will do just fine.

you can just do a clicky spring mod to make your trigger faster, mabey get a double trigger kit and if you have some cash at your disposal, i hear response triggers are nice. I have a double trigger kit i got for 20 bucks, and the clicky spring mod is in the tippmann forum, both will help you

The response trigger is nice, I have one on an A-5. Now u'll need a better hopper. Something around the range of $50 like a revy or a Halo TSA.

lol i looked at the xtremepaintball site but couldnt find a response trig...i know u cant advertise anyother sites but mabe u can email or pm wit a site i can find a response trig and a nice hopper

get a double triger kit and put a clicky pen spring in it, directions on this mod are in the tippmann forum, what this will do is give u the option of firing with both fingers so you can shoot faster and it will return your trigger faster, about 20 bucks for the entire mod.... theres no point in getting an E-marker for your first marker get used to the sport and get better with a mech then if you really love the sport and are dedicated enough to really dump some money in, get a nice E
