98 Bolt cover

ive been trying to get my 98C quieter. ive got a good barrell, but the noise seems to come from the gun itself. so i researched a little and found out about a cover that covers the open side bolt. Its called the Rocket cock which sounds rather crude, but it isnt what it sounds like. Does anyone know if it really helps to quiet your marker?

We run the RC on our customs, but to be honest...If it made a difference, It wasn't very noticeable.
Now that you mention it, my daughters custom is much loader then mine.
Hers is newer (mine is a few years old), maybe they get quieter as they wear a bit?

The reason they were installed was to prevent paint/dirt from getting into the bolt area.
I would rather clean a tippy @home, then in the field

You can try but you wont make it very much quieter. the clinking is just the gun working. the RC will help keep your bolt clean tho.
