this mod will simple not work with co2 because of the gas' nature and the amount of gas the gun will be going through when firing.
As fo rthe kick problem I have found my set of files fso I will be able to "mill" the slot to stop some of the kick
Also I plan on heading out to Jungle Island this sat for a night game simply because I have not played in over 2 weeks and i seem to have developed a bad case of itichy trigger finger and stationary targets are not the same as a live ne that shoots back. I might also be willing to do a few quick mods between games

Hehe - are you uplanning on taking it out as is, full auto style and hoping you can feed fast enough?

Well i changed my mind the 98 is going with me just so that I can put some fear into the other team with it going full auto at crono atleast. but I am bringing the semi parts just in case it not "Feild" legal
But back on topic I am going to get a spring kit so that I can try to get a lower rate of fire

I like how a spring kit is your first conventional idea for slowing the rate of fire down. You have already done things noone else would have thought of and ar ejust now trying a spring kit where that would have been most peoples first idea.
Did you mill the slot - can we get an accurate reading on BPS?

not yet,
Kinda spent the the entire day playing different feilds 7am -4pm SC village and 6pm- about 11.45pm over at Jungle Island and I just got home and out of the shower, Only came home once between the feilds and that was to get a pair of clean tournament pants and a jerssy. (14 hours of paintballing and more welts then i care to stop and count)
Found out when i took it to play it is once again shooting around 310 FPS and that is even with a leak that has developed in my vertical adapter that seems to be getting worst each time i air the gun up
Also found out that my Evlution does a funny thing when the 98 is on full auto. The first ball fires rest of the stack gets kicked back up by the bolt when it flys forward. but the good news was that not one ball choped durring the test. And i got a few shocked looks from a few of the other players
I might mill the slot on monday after I recover from today. mostly because i am having a hard time tyoe and i am about too.........zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

yes it can be done under the right conditions but at the time I was testing with co2 it was only 55-60* F so their were problems. because of the temperature. And because of how CO2 behaves your going to have some wicked problems with drop off and constiancy
Also I would love to see the Mod you did to your springs

http://media.putfile.com/98cFullAutoco2 heres a vid! Also i didnt do to much to the springs but ill show
i just used 2 normal springs from pens like u do for the lighter trigger pull mod (wich i basically did) but i made a homade sear with a straw around it to reduce noise, but turned out these made it go full auto perfectly

thats sick pballer900, what temp did you have to be at for this to work with co2 and would it be worth replacing the sear spring with no intent to do this mod, like what effect does it have on the gun

It actually works well and idk what u mean about temp but im thinking it was about 50-60 degreese out side when i did this if thats what u mean... well ill try it in all temps scince its gunna be like 40 tommarow and i got a game tommarow. And i think it is worth to change the sear spring without using full auto because it really makes a huge difference in trigger pull but make sure u cover it or it makes the gun loud somehow i read so...
EDIT: but if your using full auto the trigger pull gets hard because the way the trigger bushes the sear with the bolt
2nd EDIT: what would happen if i played paintball in the rain cause its supposed to pour here tommarow and i was wondering how that will effect my gun?

Glad to seee It works for the short burts like you did in the vid with co2. just listening to it your doing about 23-26 bps range
Just take it EZ interms of fire and keep it to short bursts cause If you go for the sustained vollies your tank is going to freeze up.
Also with this mod you don;t need the trigger spring because the sear spring will return the trigger for you and that will help lighten the trigger some.
Now to explain why co2 is not a good gas to use for this mod *Pulls a white lab coat out of the desk and puts it on*
Here a full 20oz tank at a few temps and what the tanks pressure is
120 F = 908 PSI
100 F = 877 PSI
80 F = 845 PSI
60 F = 814 PSI
40 F = 783 PSI
So the lower the temp the lower the tank pressure
Then again at 1/2 full (10oz of co2)
120 F = 454 PSI
100 F = 438 PSI
80 F = 422 PSI
60 F = 407 PSI
40 F = 391 PSI
And from that we can also see that a half filled tank has half the pressure of a full tank
A quick way to see the pressure of a is if you use this formula
