EDIT: mortisdeum do you code for computer? that formula looks like some VB or some C i dont know much about it but

Ya
VB, C++, Visual C, Java, HTML, PHP, MYSQL, and NC (used for CNC machines)
As for the Electronis do you mean the old school E-Bolt, or the newer E- Trigger?
Bolt
And the trigger

I guess the trigger i looked up the speed but it was so damn slow... it was 10bps at its fastest for the 98c. 15bps would be even better but i might as well just get a HPA setup but i like the little like 5 shot bursts i get out of it right now. But im not playing today cause its raining to much it got cancled ><
-- awesome i only know how to code in LUA(pathetic coding lol) but still u can make some cool stuff in it and compile it i heard

THe last time I tested it I was down to ~0.05 sec for each cycle (23 CPS but it may be lower cause of a bad recording and an echo) and it had some wicked kick though.
So a halo might be able to keep up.
Right now I am working on reducing the amount of kick by remilling the slot and a few other things i still got planed, I got to fix the jig to do one thing though but after words I should be able to flip the cocking rod so its on the other side. (I bet a few people that are left handed might like that)

Alright.. back to your full auto mod.. to much to read.. but if you didn't get it working right you need to find a gun smith to help you out. Bet there are a lot of them that would like the challenge of it..

O it's working...
Just a little too well
At this moment I am trying to find a working diagram of the Tippmann FA because it was a full automatic gun and it was based off the Pro Carbide. (And that gun is simular to the 98 in construction) Mostly to see if there is another way to control the rate of fire.
There are a few ways that I have tried and to an extent work are: - Ajustment of Pressure the Gun operates
- Removal/ Replacement of the Hammer O-ring
- Ajustment of the tention on the drive spring
But each of those has it's own drawbacks as 2 of them also affect the velocity of the ball
So lowering the ROF is proving to be more of a balancing act or timing of a auto cocker

Mort dont keep beating yourself up man. Like I said when this thread started it cant be done. We have all been down that road. It always leads to the same dead end. Electro or RT is the only way man.

Don't discourage him, I know I'm not the only one who is able to figure this out.
/dogdy
I would explain, but PBN has gotten the better of me tonight, maybe tomorrow.

if you cut a few coils out of the stock spring and streched so it is the same length as a unmodified stock spring will that slow it down some?

It would
But
Don;t do it
Never cut and then strech the drive spring because it will weaken it and it will eventualy break

Also i know that on a car if you heat up the springs thay get soft would that work on a spring for a tippy i dont know. and i saw the you modded up your valve. i would try it with a stoclk valve and remove all your mods so your 98 is as close to stock as you can
