new threads not good
this just in from xpaintball.com:
The thread size in Tippmann 98 guns has changed because wear to the casting mold over time. All Tippmann 98 barrel manufacturers are modifying their barrel threads to accomodate this. AT THIS TIME, we have barrels that are the old thread size. The old barrels will fit the new guns if you loosen the bolt that holds the barrel in, screw the barrel in, then tighten the bolt back down. The new barrels will fit both the old and the new guns
this is bad news for tippmann owners like myself, who have an "old" model 98. basically what they're saying is that if you have an old tippmann 98, the threads inside the gun will wear away and ur gun will be screwed.
