so i plan on going paintballing with my 98c for the first time in about a year or 2. i just shot it to make sure it works but i want to know if there is anything else i should do to it.

make sure its lubed up, o-rings and the like. Make sure you dont have dust or anything all gummed up in the barrel, itll help alot.

I'd take the barrel off and run a little warm water through it.

While that's off, I'd put about 6 drops of oil into the ASA (tank adapter), try to get them into the air passage hole. Then put a tank on there, head outside and fire a few dozen times. Leave the barrel off or it'll get a coating of oil on the inside- that's a bad thing for accuracy. No paint needed either, just air.

Naturally, if your tank has gone empty from not playing you'll need to get some CO2 in there first.

Doing that will get all the internal seals oiled up. Afterwards with the gun cocked, put one drop of oil on the rear bolt O-ring. You can do that through the cocking slot in the side of the gun, no need to take it apart.
