Question A-5 E-grip help

i just bought a e-grip for my a-5 and i put it on. i cocked the gun back but when i pulled the trigger it made a click noise but the gun stayed cocked. it seems like there is to much tension for it to release. the grip was also hard to get the grip to sit deep enough for the pins to go through the 2 holes. does anyone have any idea how to fix this problem and make it work? also, it's not the e-grip because i tried it a few months ago with a different e-grip and it did the same thing, but i returned the e-grip because i thought it was broken.

Hey, Ive got an E-grip myself and to me it doesnt sound like there is anything wrong with the e-grip (though you already said you knew that). The only thing i could think of would be that there is a fault with the gun itself. You might want to take the gun apart to see if your bolt spring is not bent or broken. Hopefully that helps, thats all i could think of.

# 1, check your battery. It may not have enough power to allow the sear down, keeping the hammer in place, in turn not allowing your marker to shoot.

# 2- check your RVA, or spring tension on the back of the marker. Being the main spring, if it's to tight, the pressure on the hammer will be to much on the sear, allowing only the clicking sound to happen.

#3- Gas her up, are you using Co2 or Air? Depending on air, the output pressure of the reg on the tank may be low, if so, find a high pressure tank. The marker itself may not be getting enough pressure to fire. Co2, make sure your tank is full

#4 as for being hard to put the trigger on, make sure those wires are out of the way, gently fold them to the side of the battery, not clamping them on the trigger sides when putting it back together. Make sure the rod is set in place and the battery is all the way down. Most of the time, the battery is pushed in along with those wires and making it a tight fit.

#5 Get rid of any after market springs. Those are junk and the thicker the spring, the more ware it's going to cause on the hammer, in turn stripping both sear and hammer down and then you'll need to replace both.

Hope this helps, any other issues PM me, I'll try to help. Good luck.
