Losing air on compressed air. A5

using my new A5, and a LP compressed tank, i can't seem to get my gun to chrono passed 230 on a flatline. when i switched to my stock barrel, i could get it up to 260, but thats with the velocity turned way out. i tried switching to a hp compressed air tank and it jumped up to 280, but that still doesn't sound right at full velocity either. anyone have any clue what i should do? is there something wrong with my gun?

an LP tank can't run an A-5 effectively w/o a LP kit,the HP tank however should work
fine. so something is wrong. i'd double check the tank and hook it upto somebodys marker
that has an incomming pressure guage to confirm it's HP (850psi)
was the tank screwed in all the way ?
are you running a remote line and didn't open the on/off valve all the way ?
could be a defective spring behind the rear bolt though unlikely.

give it a little time, i'm sure someone here has a better answer for you.

thanks for the reply. i am running a remote line, but i checked to make sure i didn't turn the screw all the way in. weird thing is my lp tank runs on my buddies x7 just fine. i kinda got better pressure when i screwed the 3 screws that hold the barrel adapter down tighter, but if i go any tighter i'm gonna strip the screws. so i don't think that should be the problem. gonna try replace the springs, damn, i hate DOA stuff.

don't go replacing springs just yet
try the tank w/o the remote line. i'd double check the marker first by tearing
it down and inspecting the internals. check the powertube for small cracks.
almost forgot and this happened to a friend, make sure the barrel is for an A-5...
my buddies marker(BT4 assault)wound up cracking the powertube and bolt because of
a barrel with similar threads but threaded in too far making contact with the bolt.

I was having a very similar problem with my A-5. I ended up putting in a JCS Red Hot power tube and everything was fine. I was working with C02 not compressed air though.
