A-5 Cyclone feed problem and what paintball to use for flatline

I just went paintballing on sunday and my cyclone feed on my a-5 stopped working. I tried manually pushing the feed by pushing the button on the side of the gun but it was stuck in there. The only way for me to get to spin was to use my finger and manually push the feed which ejected the button on the side. Btw i can push the button to spin the feed, but i cant do it after i fire a shot. What should i do?

Also i used big ball paintballs and they curved a lot with my flatline barrel, but when i used the field paint, which was cryptic, it seemed to do much better. Any suggestions to what kind of paintballs i should use? I heard marballizers work fine, but they are kind of expensive and i dont want to risk buying a whole case and my gun doesnt like it.

sorry can't help with the feeder problem. but as far as paint. i use diablo nightmares and they seem to work pretty good. but i think i still need to do some tuning on my gun, i can't seem to get my hp to go up to 280. i'm hoping when i fix that the flatline will shoot straighter. good luck.

try oiling it up
I had the same problem when I left my gun untouched for nearly a year. When I started playing it would shoot one shot every 10 seconds. When I would push the button on the side, it would gradually turn and it is supposed to just spin instantly.

So, try oiling it up and leave it for a day or two to settle in.

Arrow Solution

Hey
I had the same problem with my cyclone feed, happened in the middle of a game and wouldn't move. There are some screws on the bottom of the cyclone feed, Take them off with it upside down and the cyclone off the gun. If i am right, when you open it you should see that the plastic white ratchet or the black pin is broken; really any of the parts in there broken will cause it not to work. Identify the part i the manual schematic and call Tippmann, they will send you the part for free and it will be there in 3 days. It is really easy to fix, but if nothing visibly broken, try the air line that goes from the gun to the cyclone feed piston, dirt will get trapped in there and clog it sometimes.
