Does Polishing Internals Void Warranty

I used some high grit sand paper to polish the right and left 1/2 receiver where the bolts move and found some scratches that were either made in production or by the bolt.

They are deep enough to feel with a finger nail, but I'm not sure if they are deep enough to affect the marker.

Does polishing void the warranty? I was thinking about sending in the receiver for an exchange.

Thanks.

Exclamation Dont do it

Don't polish your internals! It causes problems. My brother did it on his 98custom pro e, and it messed it up. It's way too easy to mess it up. The "performance" that you gain if you "do it right", is not noticable, you just think it is noticable because you know that you did something to it. Put 2 tippy's in front of someone 1 polished and 1 un-polished and ask if they can tell which one is which. They wont be able to tell, I can promise you that! Polishing your internals is stupid, just keep your marker well-lubed and it will shoot like a dream.

I wouldn't worry about the scratches myself, they happen.

The polishing might void the warranty...I've never read it.

after polishing the surface is much more smooth... Im happy i did it, and cant see why it would void warranty... You probably wont see any difference between the two, but i believe the polished one will have less wear at the o-rings...
