Used Tippmann 98 Question
So…..
I have a couple of places to play paintball (Woodsball) close to home. I drive by one everyday on my way home from work and have been thinking about giving it a try.
A co-worker of mine was really into paintball with his son, but both have lost interest, therefore he has mentioned that if I’m interested, he would sell me his marker with all the accessories.
The marker is a Tippmann 98 (not the custom) with an aftermarket "Dye" barrel, an aftermarket hopper (he has a few of these), two extra aftermarket Co2 cartridges, a hard-shell case, all of the tools and extras to take the marker apart, etc. (I don’t remember the brand names of the aftermarket hoppers), a mask, plus anything else he has. Basically, a complete package which has been adult owned and cared for. And knowing this person, I’m more than confident that all of the equipment has been meticulously maintained.
I was thinking about picking this up from him because he would show me how to clean and care for the marker, and I have NO doubts that it has been well taken care of. Most of the information that I can find on the net seems to point to this being a good “beginners marker”. After looking at it today, it looks to be in excellent shape.
My concern is that the marker is roughly 8-9 years old (It hasn't been used in approx. 5 years). Is this something to be concerned about? He's looking for $125 for everything. Sound like a fair deal?
Thanks for helping a newb. out!
