Tippmann RT/E/APE

Ok so someone tippmann savvy please enlighten me. I'm new to the sport and've been playing with a couple buddies of mine one of which lets me shoot his ( a5 w/ rt ). From my research I've found that the rt should release a ball on both pressing and depressing of the trigger. When I shoot with this gun tt only shoots once per every pull of the trigger. Is this correct?

Also, everyone I play with annihilates with the x7. So I was thinking about getting an egrip. Now I know the egrip (from my understanding) has different burst modes (7 or 8?) but it has many downfalls like its extreme battery usage and 10 or 15min idle power down, I've been reading about this so called ape board which is supposed to solve the battery usage problem, but what I don't understand is... Does it have a way to program it easily externally in the event you want to switch burst modes during game play?

I've seen the ions with the buttons on the grip, and've heard that you can program it with the trigger but don't know if any of this actually applies to the a5. goapeonline.com is horrible and information-less and I've been trying to search and get the information without coming on here and bugging everyone with these noob-like questions, but if anyone can help I'd really appreciate it.

If you have AIM just IM me (quickguap)

Well...the RT kit doesn't make the gun fire on pull and release. That's often what happens when you have an Electric grip that has a Response mode. Different animals.

The RT kit allows normal operation and with practice a full auto like mode, where the trigger resets but your finger pressure makes it fire again. Not allowed at some fields.

The E-grip has several different modes. At some fields you'll have to lock it into true semi-auto anyway, so I try to tell people to not let the extra modes sell the part. That's also why the controls are Inside the grip frame- no tools on the field, no changing modes in game. The trigger press programming is also disabled by a lock inside the frame, right? Should be a 'tournament lock' or something.
