tippmann expansion chamber

hello
I have a tippman 98 custom pro with an electric trigger and cyclone feeder. I am having a problem when the e-trigger kicks in and it starts shooting faster it starts to frost all of my seals. I was talking to someone today who recomended having a vertical expansion chamber installed. He said he was having the same issue and this solved it. Any opinions out there? thanks

the only other option that i could perceive, although a little more pricey, it would be better for you in the long run...that is to get an HPA tank. CO2 in its liquid state is naturally alot colder, which is why it freezes everything up, on the other hand, HPA is alot warmer and it wont freeze anything up.

if you can afford it, go with the HPA tank instead of the expansion chamber because you will be able to use it on any other marker you choose to purchase in the future

yeah I was thinking I will probably end up going to an HPA tank. The only issue I have with that is I dont tend to play at a field and there arent any places I can fill the tank.

Are there any dive shops in your area?
You raise a valid point, though. Normally I tell people to do away with CO2 entirely, but if you can't get air easy, then maybe an expansion chamber might be a good idea.
Or you can always get a Tippmann C3.
Just kidding.
If you plan on continuing use of CO2 due to inability to obtain HPA, then an expansion chamber is a good idea.

yeah I actually decided togo with hpa. I found 2 scuba tanks for a good price and there is a dive shop about 40 mins away but on my way to one of my fields so its not that bad. Any ideas where I can get the adapter to go between the scuba tank and my hpa bottle?

New Scuba & Paint Ball / DIN Valve Fill Adapter - eBay (item 330235197738 end time May-16-08 15:06:07 PDT)
Would that help?
Honestly I have no idea what kind of an adapter you need because I do not know what kind of access fitting scuba tanks have. Find that out and I'm sure you can find an adapter. Or ask the guys at the dive shop next time you're there.

if you go to hpa what pressure are you supposed to set your marker tank at? Do you need a regulator, or can you just use a hose with adapters to go from tank to tank? I'm new to paintball and don't really know too much just yet.

it all depends on what marker you're using. if you're using a tippman, spyder or spyder clone you buy a high pressure output tank, and use it just like you would with a CO2 tank.

If you've got something else, you read the user manual to see what you need to do.
