Maintaning Your Tippmann

Here I am with another noob question but it is a question I need to ask. Are there any other things i would do to maintain my tippmann and keep it as close to new as possible. I will appreciate all help.

Dont use it to stake tomatoes, sickle weeds, or play baseball and you should be OK. A couple of drops of oil on the ring on the main bolt should do after each use. Dissassemble it about every 8-10 times out and oil the sear. Other than that, they are built like tanks and don't need much.

Its true though, but i think you could sickle weeds with it and it would still be fine.

If you wanna be obsessed with your tippy and treat it like your baby...then you can clean it after every use.

basicly just take it apart and if there is any paint/crud in there get it out of there. Rubbing Achohol works...or even that google cleaner stuff. Just make sure you get all the stuff out. Then simply rub down each part with a towel...then put it back in. Then you will have to oil everything. simply oil the parts that move (front bolt, hammer, linkage arm) and your set!

then put i back together. Then put about 3-4 drops of oil in the ASA adaptor and put your tank on. Then dry fire it for a minute to just make sure you work the oil thorugh the gun (make sure you take the barrel off). After that put your hand infront of the gun and fire a few times and feel if any more oil is coming out. If there isnt any then your done...if there is fire some more.

Any gun should stay as good as new if taken care (lubricated and cleaned) of after every use... or if it is not used for a while, clean and lubricate it once a week or every couple weeks. Tippmanns have such a tough system they really only need to be oiled once every month.

If you ever talk to Tippmann Effect, they love their tippmanns because they throw some water on the gun, and drop some oil on the inside like once in...forever....

Just use some oil.

Polishing your internals will also help with smooth running.

They also don't mind buying a new one as soon as their first one breaks down.

Put some oil in the asa, and dry fire, just like flatliner said. Clean any chopped paint, or it will be a b**** to clean out later. You don't really have to do much, but don't leave it outside or in the dirt, then just brush it off and expect it to play. I've seen a couple of tippy users become very disappointed because they don't know the meaning of "exaggeration."

I scrub my tippy down almost after every day of play because of the dust at the feild i usually go to, that stuff is so nasty, its the kind that turns everything brown and you cant really bat off your clothes either.

breaking in barrel...could be a number of things...bumpes on the paintballs...which then rub against the barrel...bad paint to barrel match (to small and it will bounce through the barrel on the way out) (to big and it will cause to much friction on the outside of the ball)...or shooting to hot...

basicly to aviod barrel breaks...have a good barrel (smooth inside)...and buy good paint that matches the barrel size....having a good paint to barrel match also helps out with accuracy a hell of alot...paint to barrel match is like %80 of accuracy by itself

You will not chop paint unless you put a stick in your barrel and shoot, tippmanns do not break balls unless u use a r/t without a revvy or something, dont worry about it
