^^^Dito on the Karnivor.
I have not seen one yet in real life. Man they look seriously sweet. I'm afraid that I cant get myself to spend close to a grand on one however. Like I said when I started this thread.

Ok guys, I’m considering closing this if it gets out of hand. Between the young’ns talking up their mythical tippmanns and the vets putting them back in their place, there is no end in sight. Keep the thread alive, but keep it alive for good reasons.

Its so true that people make fun of tippy owners because of their skill and not their gun. I have a model 98 and i was playing at my field. i played against electric guns (i was the only one without one). we played 3 3-on-3 games and i killed 8 outta the 9 people possible from those games. I gained respect and now i play with them while the "tippmann players" play against each other. Im upgrading now so just leave a good impression and you wont get touched for owning one.

I really dont understand where your coming from. I never said tippys are bad. remeber...i used to have a godly tippy (if i may say so myself)...but I am just talking facts. Higher end guns are better then tippys. Its not like im putting tippys down...i mean wat do you expect...they are about $300 more then a tippy...of course they are gonna be better. We both agree tippys are great for the money....but you cant compair a gun that is $450...to one that is $120..its like compairing a Nissan 350Z to a stock civic...the nissan is $20k more expensive...wat do u expect?
by the way...no unmoded RT can go faster then 16 bps...so plz get ur facts straight. If you "modded" it...then tell me exactly what you did...and if you stil think you get 17-18 show me the sound file...cuz looking at a sound file is the only way to actually see how many bps you get.
People give the impression that cockers are high maintenence....that is not true. Sure its a heck of alot more then what you would do to keep your tippy running...but it is not brain surgery. I spend about 20 min. after I go playing paintballing simply cleaning the gun and making sure eveyrthing works fine. And i have not had a problem (cocker is about 6 months old). Some people...like myself...actualy injoy tweaking it and making sure everything is in working order.....but keeping a cocker in working order is no where near what it is made out to be. If you treat it with respect in the first place....I dount you will have to do anything for the first year except oil it.
Im not putting tippys down...just think of the following statment "you get what you pay for"...it is so true. If you pay $450 for paintball gun...it is going to be better then $120. The gun is more expensive because better quality is put into the gun.
Like it or not...that is the way it is.

my mods, well the front trigger spring is gone its pointless so i got rid of it the rts bounce is more then what u need so ur not getting help from the spring, also it has 2 brace bands inplace of the sear spring, this is just enough to release it and catch the bolt, the rt is set to max flow, pressure at 850, and shooting around 290 fps, i cant make a sound file as i have no way to record one

I have seen a sound file of a 98C doin 24 cycles per second, but alas that was w/o paint! I imagine that it would chop like a ginsu knife at that speed.
Like I said earlier, a tippy can hold it's own with the right player, but I never said it was just as good. I don't think that I would upgrade to anything other than a timmy or a gulp (dont hate me for this) dynasty shocker. Angels have speed, but I have read alot about reliability issues.
I would like a carnivore e cocker! I think that I would rather just save up the grand and get one of those than sink a grand customizing one. I like how everything is internal and how light weight it is.

Ok then you ARE NOT getting anywhere near over 15 bps. It doesnt matter that you have "mods" on the actual trigger...you need to make mods on the RT itself. I really dont feel like going into it right...but someone else might be nice enough to explain it. Also...you arnt getting over 15 bps...cuz you need to TWEAT the RT....not set it to max flow....meaning...you dont just open the RT as much as it will go...you have to find the sweet spot. and unless you do major tweaking to find that sweet spot...you wont get over 15 bps.....and i KNOW you arnt getting anything higher then 12 bps cuz you only have a revvy.
hmmm preassure at 850psi? hmm just curious...but how would you know that?
If you cant make a sound file....then there is no way to find out how many bps exactly you are shooting. There is no way you can guess, cuz thet timing with the stop watch will be off.

this is an example of an audio file...this is what you NEED to tell how many bps your shooting. And there is no way to guess how fast...u need to do this.
I am dead serious...IM me at non freeza105 ...and ill show you a sound file of a gun shooting 10 bps....its ALOT faster then you may think.

yup...thats milkman's 98....what he did was replace the small RT hose with a bigger one...basicly letting more air in. He actually did fire that with paint....he got his Qloader and tried it. He showed me a vid and it was halrious.....its a stop tipppmann with a RT and Qloader. He took it to a field and was in the Chrony area and everyone was staring at him. They were also lauhing saying "dude ur a noob why would u put a qloader on there"....then he fired the thing at 24 bps lol....everyone just stopped and stared for like 5 seconds after he stopped firing lol.. lmao

he has a max flow...those tanks are adjustable and have 2 regs so he knows the output of his tank.

err well thr normal way to get a psi reading on a gun is to use a regulator with a port hole, which is what i did, something i was watching yesterday thats off topic, but u ever watch how fast a guage goes up when useing co2?it went up like 100psi in a few secends, maybe not about the tippy thing but maybe i can rig somthing up between the xbox comunicator and the vcr to get a video plus sound recording
