Help with flatline

Hi i am new to paintball, and i am new to this forum so i apologize if this post is in the wrong place.

My problem is that everytime i shoot my flatline it seems that the balls are going to the right. They either go to the right of where i aim or they hit the target, it is never consistent. Is the problem that i have the barrel in wrong or is this a velocity issue? I did turn up the velocity, but i remember turing it down as well.

Also is there anyway to cleant he barrel without taking it off. Everytime i need to clean it i have to get it off to run the squeegee through?

Any info it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

You can kinda quick clean it with a cotton swab (just slide a fluffy swab up in there), but to get it completely i dont know of any other way then to take it off and run a squeege through it.

And the balls going any direction can be any of three things:
1. Velocity too high or too low... you need to play with this one (Most likely this is not the problem)

2. Ball to bore size... this a huge problem especially since the Flatline barrells are bers picky when it comes to paint. Make sure the paint you are using is .68 cal (I believe that is the Flatlin bore size)

3. Quality of the ball... the smoother it is the better! No seams is the best... make sure there are no dimples, there not egg shaped, or anything else thats i effecting the roundness of the ball. Flatline's NEED almost if not perfectly round paintballs to function properly.

Just play around with all these factors and everntually you will get it right! Good luck I hope I helped... and if i got anything wrong you posted in the right place to get a good answer!

press down the forward sight on the 98...then the elbow should tilt to the side...then run a pull through squeegee through there and it will be perfect.

Velocity for flatline is perfect right around the 270-280 FPS range.....any higher and the balls go crazy..and lower and you might not get the full range. Make sure you chronie it at that speed (No there is not a way to see how fast it is going withouta chronie).

Bore size...all paintballs are .68 cal...but there are smaller diffrences...like .682, .686, .689....you need to get the smalles ball possible. I used Big Ball in my flatline (it is now called "menace") and it worked great...there are other people on here saying zap works...you just gotta try it.

And just make sure that the barrel is alligned correctly. If everything checks out ok...then it might just be there is crap in the barrel...so try cleaning it out

Exactly what flatliner said, with the alignment thats easy to adjust too, loosen the screw on the adapter and jsut twist the end of the barrel, to the opposite way of the way your balls are curving.... i think (Too lazy to think about it). It could also be the velocaty, i played a feild at about 260 fps, i got average range but still had a flat trajectory.

Thanks for all the help. I will turn down the velocity, check its not that, the balls should be good(I am using big ball). The alignment is what is getting me the barrel looks like it is in as straight as it can be so i am not sure what to do there.

anways thanks all the help

Dont trust the plastic shroud when you are lining it up, i think they should have made it mount onto the sight rail and not just have 1 screw in the back and then have the barrel holding it on the other side, meaning it could bend to the side if the barrel is to the side. Keep adjusting it until it performs well. And at what distance are the balls starting to curve at?

i am 99.99% sure the barrel is clean, the balls are curving after about 50-75 feet.
