You will need to but the verticle kit from tippmann. It is about $25. It is pretty easy to install as long as you screw it in to the 2-3 threads left like the instructions tell you and then you be sure that the power tube is square to the adapter.

I did it in about 15 minutes and I'm an idiot.

Get the Expansion Chamber Kit from xpaintball.com, it includes everything you need to install the chamber, including vertical adapter and locktite. Its pretty easy, just make sure you follow the instructions.

An expansion chamber allows the CO2 room to fully expand from a liquid into a gas before it enters the marker. This provides both increased consistency and allows the marker to cycle more efficiently.

An expansion chamber is made up of multiple chambers seperated by plates with tiny holes in them. The liquid CO2 is forced to travel through the tiny holes and it is atomized. Each chamber the CO2 passes through has a slightly lower pressure than the one before it and the liquid is pulled through the holes. Once it enters the next chamber it expands and hopefully by the time it enters the marker it is done expanding and is at a consistent pressure.

Basically you dont want the gas expanding once it is in the marker because it will cause the marker to run at different pressures based on the rate you are firing and the time the CO2 has to expand before it is used.
