98 Custom Home mod

Hey. I'm new to the community and I'd just like to say this is a cool site. I Have a Tippmann 98 Custom with a Flatline system and a Collapsable stock. Its a cool rig but I wanna jaz it up a Bit. The Stock Tank location sucks b/c its getting in the way of my stock. I'm trying to find a Vertical bottle adapter but I'm having a hard time. I Tryed Ebay and I don't wanna do Retail. I'm gonna go and buy some stuff to rig it up my self. The question I have is do any of you guys know how I would make my Marker Full Auto? Also if you know where I coulg get a Metal Shroud for my Flatline Barrel let me know, I'd like one of those aswell.

this stuff would be better answered in the tippmann forum...but heres my 2cents...

for the tank...just turn the asa around and have it point forward...
i don't know where to get a metal shroud
to make the marker full auto you need an ebolt...they are quite expensive though (about 250 bux)
i did a lil rig to make my tippy full auto when i had one...but it made it shoot at about 35 a second...which is way to fast for the gun/you/ur hopper to handle...
there are trigger jobs and things like that you can do to it though!

Hey, I have solved most of my problems. Yes I Just turned my bottle around and I made an Expansion Chamber out of plumbing pipe, it worked pretty well. I have a reversed bottle and an Expansion chamber for under $10. FOr the Full auto deal I just blocked the Sear pin. I'm gonna start workin on an Air Agitator and an Air feed for my Hopper.

uh...not to be mean but that really really really won't work...
first of all...the gun shoots sooo fast that way that when u shoot its gunna be crappy for a few reasons...mainly cuz ur on co2...also...ur gunna need to feed at about 36bps...which unless you are a genious...(im not calling you dumb but only the most recient most advanced hoppers can do that)but go ahead and try if you like...LMK how it works

Yeah, I tried to make mine go full auto by modifying the sear pin and all I got was a paint blender, lots of snow, and an empty CO2 tank. I have a qloader and it could not keep up (or the marker chamber design just sucks and it can't feed that fast)! Tippmann's top out at 15-18BPS (and thats with 1K in mods!)

edit: You droped $120 on a flatline barrel and you dont want to drop $25 on a verticle adapter? Whats up with that?

MEtal shrouds dont go on tippmanns. Neither does anything that tries to make it look like a colt M16. If you want milsim, get a rap4. www.rap4.com

hmmm... Interesting... Why not just get an already customized gun that looks like an M-4. Like one of those armotech thinks. I mean, a colt M-16 may be a totally different kind of look but still. Your getting a real lookin' paintball marker. So think about that one.

Naw, with stuff like that, your getting an almost real looking gun, that has a carry handle that is out of proportion with wrong angles on it, a barrel way too short and thick and ends abruptly and has no flash suppressor or anything, and a stock that almost looks like the real thing, not to mention a hopper and a CO2 tank stickign off of it..

I just dont like that stuff. Plus the reciever of a 98 c looks NOTHING like an M16's reciever.

Rap4s are 100% exact replicas. same weight. Same balance. Same verythign. they even accept real Colt 16 series accessories.

alpha, actually metal shrouds for flatlines do exist, go to pbreview.com and type in flatline for the search and you will see how wrong you are
