Arrow Upgrades for A-5

undefined

I'm sort of a newbie in the great big world of paintball. Just recently bought an A-5 and was thinking about the flatline barrel system and maybe an egrip or r/t. Also was wondering about a pro seal bolt kit from dead on paintball they say it improves air efficiency and increases cycle rate. Can anyone tell me if this is true or not?? I have noticed that the A-5 seems to be a bit of an air hog and would like to help it out if I could.

if you plan on going to tournies in the near future get the egrip.
if not get the RT its cheaper and offers the same ROF.

I don't really see me going to tournies very soon, it's just some friends and I having it out in the woods. I saw on another thread that the bolt kit ain't worth the $$$. My one buddy got a 98C w/ flatline and that bad boy flies threw the brush really good and really pops when it hits ya ! Any one got instructions for a home trigger mod on the
A-5? or is a double trigger just the better and easier way to go ?

use the stock bolts and powertubes....if the powertube messes up for some reason..then get the one u are talking about...but if its working fine...dont change it...keep the money.

if you play in the woods with your friends (and dont plan on going to a real field) then get the RT...its cheaper and ill serve u better....

flatline is a great barrel...try it with your frineds gun...if u like it, go for it

I know that the flatline barrel for the 98c is longer than the stock one. I'm not certain but it looks to me like the flatline for the A-5 is only slightly longer (maybe an inch or two ?) than stock. Nobody that I know has an A-5 other than myself so far so I don't know how good it would work. I'm here to testify that the 98c w/ the flatline is a painful combination.

I dunno I heard that the flatline is for distance not accuracy and that the boomstick was overpriced for the quality that it offered. I ordered it today accurate as hell to me. So it is about preference.

I'm kind of on a limited budget (so to speak) and since the R/T is cheaper, I'll prolly go w/ that, a double trigger, and might look into the boomstick or flatline. I can always try it and sell it on ebay if it ain't right fer me.

I would spend the extra money on the E-grip though. Don't get the flatline, go with the boomstick.

Get the A5 with the flatline and RT and use the stock bolt. Dont waste your money on stocks and an expansion chamber wouldnt be a bad idea either. If you decide agaqinst the flatline then get a teardrop instead of the boomstick. Its Just about as good but I highly advise you to get the flatline because they rock. Take that from a flatline owner.

A5 and 98C flatline perform vertually the exact same...however they look different, and are installed different...but performance is basicly the same

there is no reason to get an egrip if your just playing in the woods or even if your just playing recball.
id get(in order):
-double trigger
-flatline barrel
-RT
-drop forward(personal preference)
-a fiber wrapped 4500 PSI tank(cuz you dont have access to a fill station like you would on a field)
then your basically done...youve upgraded the tippy as far as it can effectivly go without going to extremes(ie: barrel kits)
