What shoots further or better the Tippmann 98 custom with flatline or the Tippmann A-5 with flatline?

Wouldnt the fps be wat changes how far they shoot.. Although the flatline does it make it shoot futher.. BUt wouldnt they shoot the same distance when there at the same fps.

All a flatline does is lob for you. It makes the paintball create lift and in that sence, lob. do a google for magnus effect. It works, but it doesn't ive the ball a flat trajectory like people say

Flatline is nowhere near worth the money, no matter what it's on.

If that was so, you would be in a vaccum with no gravity or friction acting on the paintball. What goes up comes down
Everything comes down

i think they would work the same, but ive heard from many people that the A-5 flatline is less finicky and easier to install/work with

i didnt say the ball never hit the ground lol... the ball flies mostly straight for roughly 150 feet then it drops off or curves out.

and your right its not worth the money at all.

Dear god why cant you people just accept the fact that a flatline does what it says it does. Take it from a satisfied owner. You get a flat trajectory, It doesnt break balls, its loud, Its long, With decent balls you get a break every time up to 180 ft. They arent hard to install and they work excellent with the RT.

yes smitty is right, whoever said that flatline barrels give not flatline tragectory was wrong but in a way right, what goes up must come down, but the flatline barrel creates backspin on the ball giving it a flatter tragectory, like a spiral with a football

the spin on a football is nothing like that of a paintball. the spin on a football makes it more accurate because it sheds off air. like a bullet. the backspin on a paintball gives it just a little more distance

but you said it gave it a flatter trajectory. giving the analogy TO the paintball from the football with info pretaining to the paintball.....w00t. i love english.

but i get what you mean.

a more accurate analogy would be the backspin on a Goalkeepers kick in soccer on a goal kick. it puts a backspin on the ball to give it more distance. ever seen the distance those guys can kick?

its not. its less accurate actually. to get the spin on the ball, the paintball has to rub up against the top of the barrel. since the barrel is round, it can hit anywhere on the top of the barrel and give it a strange spin. like it could hit the upper right, upper left, upper middle and those will all have diffrent spins because the ball will be spinning off to one side. but people will say it doesnt matter, at the ranges the flatline claims to shoot. it matters greatly. so id just take my straight - non-bent barrel over that. and even if you do get that range, all the power behind the paintball will be gone. ive been hit numerous times with a flatline at its "peak" distance, but it didnt break, any of them. i was even called a wiper. but hey, if youre lucky enough to have no wind, hit the middle of the barrel, and hit my lense at its "peak" distance, you might get a break

that would make a downspin. he probably had his barrel on upsidedown.
