Question about the A-5

My buddy wants to get an expansion or a reg for his A-5. The only thing he doesn't like is the whole... front grip and extra grip thing look. With a vertical adapter, will the expansion/reg take the place of the front grip? And also, would he need new tubing if he got the vert adapter with an x-pac if he had a drop forward, or would it fit OK without it? Thanks

just put the x-chamber/reg into the vertical adapter thats there, then take off the plastic front grip, that way theres only 1 grip up there. you will need a new hose for your setup and if your getting a drop forward youll need the grip adapter block too. and an elbow to connect the hose.

i say get a macroline kit instead of a steel braided one, the macroline is much better than the a5 stock kind
its also easier to put on your gun

Also, if he went with a reg, he could get a female palmer stabilizer which would get installed where the ASA is. That way there's just tubing (either macroline or steal-braided) coming out of the tombstone.
