Answer And A Question
- You should look into the Dead On Paintball Pro Style Drop Forward, perfect for holding NITRO.
_ I was looking into 98C barrels and I brought it down to two of the best, the 98 Flatline Barrel or the 98 Stiffi, The Flatline puts a backspin on the ball, but is heavy and noisy, and the stiffi is light and quiet but you cant clean it, what would you reccomend for woodsball, they both run the same price.

It's an aluminum barrel, coated with ceramic. The pores in the ceramic are filled with teflon making for a very slick inside surface. If you're worried about it breaking because it isn't fully made of metal, don't.

For which tippmann? And what did it have on it stock?
New barrels are almost always a good upgrade.

well assuming everything stock for a 98c get a J&J ceramic barrel(14"or 12") R/T and with any xtra money get a double trigger, after that assuming its a 98 custom get a new hopper

meh so-so. it is a little bit lighter and allows a little more air flow, and runs a little smoother. So if you have $20 to throw around sure, but if your Tippmann's stock and you're tight on cash spend your money elsewhere like on a double trigger or a drop.

a bolt is not going to do you much good. despite any myths and advertisements, a new bolt will not increase accuracy, or actually do much of anything to your performance. delrin bolts never need to be oiled and they allow for a smoother operation, but unless you are using your tippy in serious tournament play, you don't need a new bolt... its just something rich people buy to squeeze every last drop of performance out of a gun that isnt all that great to begin with. get a new barrel, or the Ricochet R5 hopper (for the A5) or some electronic hopper if you have a 98c, maybe even buy a nitro tank.
edit: and a drop forwards doesnt really increase performance, but it can balance out the weight of the gun. it makes it more comfortable to hold your gun, and its actually a good idea to get one on a tippmann because tippmanns are very long guns. if you move the tank up with a drop forwards, you can then hold the whole gun closer to your body, and decrease your profile, and therefore decrease your chances of being hit.
