Is the Flatline Barrel System worth buying for the Tippmann 98 Custom?

Depends, I think it is kinda overpriced but it adds like 100 feet of range. One of my friends has it and he likes it a lot and it makes his shot go way farther. So if you play woods and you like to hang back a lot then it is pretty good. But if you are aggressive you shouldn't get it. But if you have that kind of money I would suggest saving up just a bit more and buy a barrel kit. You will have to ask someone else about barrel kits but lots of people say they are really good.

if you only play woodsball get it. If you play speedball don't.

the flatline may give you a longer range but by the time the ball hits someone theres nuttin left pushing it.its a good investment if your plan on playing woodsball alot.other then that buy a hpa tank or sumtin..

Flatline barrel is impossably easy to clean. thanks to the removable elbow, all you have to do is swing it down, and then run a pull through squeegee through the breach and into the barrel. It even comes with a pull through squeegee 4 u to use on it. The flatline will not break your balls, it is just a rumor that they do.

Running a squeegee through a flatline won't fully clean it though. Because of the sand-blasting, some paint will still be left behind messing with your shots. The only way to fully clean it is to run water through it, then squeegee it.

i run my squeegee through a few times, then i borrow my freinds pullthrough with a swab on the end, that gets just about everything, now if i only had a squeege with disks and swabs...

dude sounds go0d to me (for woods ball) flat-line is no go0d for speed ball im ordering myself a j&j 14in. ceramic barrel. my cuz just got his (Hvc801) we tried it out and it was awsome...but if u are going to strictly play woods ball i would go with the flat-line
if not go with a smaller and lighter barrel.

i have flatline for my a-5, and i love it, its awesome in woods and since the a-5 flatline isn't quite as cumbersome, i play backman in speedball sometimes. If you take care of it it'll take care of you. (make sure you align it correctly in the adaptor that connects it to the gun, it screws up the direction of your shots otherwise)

hey roadkill i dont know about you but i have gotten many ball breaks in my flatline. the wierd thing is that they only break at the tip of the barrel and only when i begin to shoot fast. the barrel is new and there is no problem with it, and i have my gun cronoed at about 270 which is the recomended. i have replaced the ball latch and the gun still continues to break balls. this worries me because i spent a bunch of money getting a RT and now i dont know whether or not to install it. for all i know i might need to get an electric hopper. i dont know, anyway somebody please help me if you know anything about this.

You will need an electronic hopper with the RT. Try using a brand of paint with a thicker shell. I use zap and it shoots great it mine and is inexpensive. Do not get bluesteak paint. Its shell will not break on anything, and my local feild banned it because it cracked 2 lenses.

ive never had that problem,i just run squeegie through it
although when i get home i do end up running water through it because atleast once i fall down and my barrel sticks in the dirt so i just run water through the inside because it would be tricky to just clean the outside
