I am buying my first gun, probally tommorrow. I have decide on the Tippmann 98 Custom. I was wondering do I need an power hopper or will a gravity one work fine for now and upgrade latter. Money is the only reason I am asking.

an agitated hopper is definatly something you going to want to upgrade to in the future, but by no means is it required to play with a tippmann. a regular hopper if fine to play with.

With a tippmann you do not need an electric hopper unless you go for a response trigger. I do still suggest one though. This is because many times a grav hopper will jam and you need to shake the hopper to unjam them. Agitated hoppers have no jams. Id suggest an empire reloader, they are more durable than revvies and sond activated instead of going of only when a hopper isnt in the feed neck.

EDIT: Hey, that person i responded to deleted his post and it looked like i double posted, well im fixing that

that was pretty stupid jared. Ok yeah i have seen people play with a gravity. If you aren't goin be shooting fast or maybe turning the gun just a lil i woudl go with a gravity till you have the money. Its up to you. My friends dad uses a gravity, it just chops a lil. But it isn't a big deal, you can shooot around 7-8 on a gravity thats a hopper in 20 seconds. i don't think you'll go much faster.
