Will this scope fit my A-5? Need help fast please!
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=7102379337
here is the scope looks like and everything. I called the guy up that works, he doesn't know...
So I really don't know if I should buy it since I'm not sure it will fit my a-5
The reason I think it may not fit is because of the really fat a-5 hopper and cyclone system.
Can someone help me out? Hurry, the auction will end soon!
oh and btw, it does say the it comes with some kind of scope rings, wth is that and how do i use them for?

The scope rings will raise the scope up high enuff so that you can still use your iron sights. I recommend against using a scope that has any magnification.

I cant say for certain with the rings but if you get it and it doesnt fit, you can get a new mount at your local gun store. There are 2 general types of mounts the weaver and I dont remember the other name, dovetail maybe? The good news is that the hoppers are offset, such that they wont interfere with the scope. Hang on and I'll grab some more info and hit you back.

thanks, cause the auction is gonna end in like an hour
btw, how thick do you think a 4x20 scope is? I'm gonna go measure. And also I don't have that much money to spend on a weaver

Ok, both guns appear to have the weaver 5/8 rail. The auction says that its a 3/8 which is the dovetail, but the auction clearly shows the scope on a tippmann 98 which has the weaver 5/8. My flatline shroud has a dovetail 3/8 rail and my red dot has a universal mount, I can flip the mount over and it will fit the scope onto a weaver mount. Check this out instead. Its a much better investment.

Goto the rate my gun link in my sig and you can get a view thru my red dot. Its not an A5 but you will get very similar results.

well acually most pb guns have a 3/8 weaver, including the tippmanns
My question is, will the scope not fit because it will hit the hopper?
please reply, the auction is over, I won, and im not sure if I should get it

like we told you in your other thread dealing w/ scopes. go w/ something like smitty has. if you're intenton magnification, then you'll want to know the feild of vision taht the scope will give you. you should have no problems w/ the scope hitting the hopper, but if you do, theres always ebay...like you've been told, unless u get a big fov red dot like smittys, you'll find you have verry little use for a scope.

Fallout, that scope should fit just fine. The scope is short enough that you can keep it behind the hopper completely. You may need to remove the stock sights, but that is easy. just split the gun in half and take sights out and re-assemble.
If the rings don't fit just go get some from walmart like I told you to in the other thread. A gun shop will charge you $20 - $60 for rings. \_/ =dovetail -_- =weaver.
