ok i have 300 bucks, pimp my 98!
allright, i have about 300 bucks to spend on my 98 custom, currently i play woodsball/scenario, but i might be gettting into tourney play, so no flatlines.
check sig, i already have some upgrades.
i was thinking a new hopper (VL revolution w/ X board) and HPA tank, but i am kinda new, so please help me out.
also where is a good place to buy stuff online? i have been looking on ebay, but for certain things, like barrels i would want new stuff.
basically i want a good all around setup, that is accurate, consistent, with a faster BPS.
thanks for your time,
bill

1. ditch the excel. you'll be much happier w/ a higher end dye or a J&J
2. keep the R/T, don't go electro or anything.
3. double trigger
there isn't much more u can do for higher rof's since u've already got the r/t
if u stick w/ co2 get an expansion chamber, that'll help your consistancy by a tremendous ammount. i don't think i would bother w/ an anti siphon if u stick w/ co2, it dosne't make much diff in a tippy, especially with an x chamber.
the only pb site that can be named here is xpaintball.com(sponsor) so just do some shopping. ebay is good. as for hpa, one of the best tanks out there is the 68/3000 crossfire. don't bother w/ a 4500psi tank bc most fill stations use the small scuba tanks and they are only about 3k psi. a revvy is great for a tippmann, but if you do get into speedball, you'll more than likley want a diff. gun for speedball type play. that in mind, it wouldn't hurt to get an egg or a halo over the revvy so that you can use it on future guns and still have it keep up and not have to buy yet another hopper on down the road. read the tippy mods thread, and do those. the clickey pen and braces rubber bands won't help u much and ure higher rof may cause probs there as well, especially w/ the sear spring mod. do the polished internals. that'll help. thats about it for now...

for 300 this is how you can easily spread it out to make the best upgrades:
1. nitro(68/4500) retail around $180, if you go higher than $190, you are getting jipped.
2. good choice on the revvy, but i see you have the r/t so for about $60-65 you can get an egg2, which will feed 17bps, plenty enough for the r/t, but the revvy only feeds 12-13, which is not enough for the r/t
3. new barrel. for $45 you can get a custom products 1-piece(i suggest 12 inches)
they are great barrels and make sure to get the .689 bore size unless you use bigger paint, get the .693

i'd go for a 68/3000 tank because more often than not, you won't be able to get a 4500 filled unless ure at a fairly large feild or what not. usually most places use scuba tanks that have only about 3000 psi. so opting for a 68/3000 will save a little cash tank wise. (yes i realize i have already said most of that)
i forgot about the r/t, my bad, that said, def. go w/ an egg.
the cp barrells are also very good. its a matter of what is appealing to your tastes, and your budget whichever of the 3 barrels we have mentioned you like the looks of and can get for cheap, go for it!

id go ahead and get a 68/4500 cuz you can still fill it at 3000 psi . you just wont get as many shots as you would @ 4500 psi.

it all depends on the money issue and what you happen to find one for...the reason why i reccommend the 3k tanks is bc most people(myslef included) are tight on cash, adn 4500's tend to cost more...
EDIT: aparently since he mentions the possibility of buying 2 hpa tanks, money is not much of an issue(lucky bugger...). in that case i would just get one good 68 or 72 4500 tank. if you can i'd just top off after every couple of games just so you don't risk running out...
