I have questions, help a fellow noob
I have an A-5, I'm about to get a Flatliner for $106(I know good price for a new barrel) and a collapsable stock.
What else should I get for my a-5? Preferably, say the estimate price of it.
And I also got a question about maintanance. After each game, do I have to take the gun apart and oil it? Do I even have to oil it every game?
oh and also, some people say that the A-5 has a 5/8 weaver, I always thought it was 3/8. Can a person that know 100% give me a solid answer on that?

get a double trigger and nitro. thats the only upgrades you should really get.
oil it after every use, its healthier for it. if not you should be ok if you havent gotten dirt/paint in the internals. even then itd be fine but not as good as if you clean it.

yup to everything on that. as for your weaver question. we made far to many posts on that thread for you to not know by now. get nitro/hpa, double trigg., if you can afford it a r/t, but thats it. you've been told more than enough to read the stickes and go w/ them man. they are prettymuch right on the money and there is feedback on some other opions there too if thats your defense.
it is recommended that you oil after every game, this has been throughly covered as well in a recent thread that i made a very long through post to. granted the process varies slightly for an a-5, only reason for that is the fact that it is closed bolt, so you HAVE to take it apart to oil the front and rear bolt. for the rest, do me a favor and read my post!

Generally the moving parts, such as the bolt

the back and front bolt, all o-rings, linkage arm, then put a few drops in the ASA, take off the barrel, and shoot the gun about 20-30 times to get a well rounded oiling.

u dont have to clean it after EVERY day....thats the thing abotu tippys...u could go a year without cleaning it lol...but the gun will wear down extremely fast...
u can clean it every tiem if u want...however i suggest at least every 2 or 3.
its all up to u...i actually suggest u clean it after every use so u can get used to the parts and get to kno ur tippy better...then u can grow up to be a tippy tech god like dhill and myself

all u have to do is pull out the pin in the back and take the bolt out, clean it off, oil it, and then put it back in and ur set to go. u dont need to disemble the whole thing. the manual helps, read that.
