Detent...
If u ever lose yours or forget to put yours back in after u clean your tippy. and u show up at the field and dont have another etc... u can use an O-Ring....
Its not perfect but it does the job... Ive never done this cause i dont own a tippy anymore, but my friends step dad did it and it worked somewhat.

^ thats what i was wondering. an oring is like twice the mass and takes up at least 5 times as much area as a ball detent. maybe if you put it on the inside of the barrel or something it would work, but it wouldnt stay there, it would come back and prevent paintballs from completely entering the chamber and then youre screwed because you have to take the barrel off to fix it. not something you want to be doing in the middle of a game.

u can cut it to act like a detent. and settle it in there. i didnt sayit was a perfect thing jsut if your desperate and dont wanna shoot 3 or 4 balls only going 50 feet.

lol there is a saying that goes with paintball...esepcially autocockers...
if it ant broke...dont fix it.
tippmann detents are fine...im sure tippy made them out of a good material.
like i said xjs detents are good for emergencys...but for crying out loud ur not gonna make better detends then tippys.
