Presidente's Newb Question Thread
1) Can I just get a reg and have my 98c run on low pressure? Or do I need to get the whole lpk? How do I prevent my gun from starving, but still operate on low pressure?
2) How is the gun cocked with the e-bolt?
3) More to come...

no, you need a low pressure kit to run low pressure.
when you gas up the gun the gun automatically cocks with the ebolt
bring it on....

Ok, let me get something straight.
As long as your tank pressure is high, then it won't starve your tippy? You can change operating pressure to low but can't change to a low pressure tank (in order not to starve gun)?

right, you need a HIGH output nitro tank on a tippmann. if you buy the low pressure kit(around $120 and not worth the money) then you could use a low pressure tank

So a high output tank and just a reg will make my tippy operate at low pressure and still not starve it?
Does anyone know the bps a stock e-bolt is capable of?

OMFG ITS NOT A HARD CONCEPT!!!!
TIPPMANNS OPERATE AT HIGH PREASSURE!! YOU NEED HIGH PREASSURE TO OPERATE THE GUN!! YOU CANNOT MAGICLY OPERATE THEM AT LOW PREASSURE!! YOU NEED THE LPK!!!!!
TIPPMANNS WITH A LPK OPERATE AT LOW PREASSURE!! YOU USE A LOW PREASSURE TANK...OR A HIGH PREASSURE TANK WITH A REGULATOR AND YOU TURN DOWN THE REGULATOR TO 300 PSI!!!
honestly...why are u so ****en obsessed about low preassure...get over it. use high preassure on ur tipy like everyone else is and dont waste your money on the LPK
**note to people that think im overreacting**
this is the 4th time ive told him that tippmanns need the LPK to operate at low preassure...and without the LPK you have to run it at high preassure.

i have told u 4 times that you need a LPK to operate low preassure
with the LPK...u can either get a low preassure tank....
or a high preassure tank with a regulator that turns down the PSI to low preassure
once again...do not get the LPK...it is useless...but if u wanna be ignorant and get it n e wayz...its ur money ur wasting.

Would a regulator do anything if I didn't get the LPK?

yes it would!
and this is exactly wat i mean...u do NOT own a impulse.
it will make your gun very consistant...and having a consistant gun is half of good accuracy...the other half is good paint to barrel match.

OMG, I forgot that my Impulse has is a regulator w/o a low pressure chamber...it's an upgrade!!!!! Thanks for answering my questions, Flatliner. I'm going to post a pic with me and my impulse to show you I do have one...here we go:

ok look I dunno if u understand this or not but mayb I can stop the unmerciful flow of questions.
if u want to get an e-bolt get a pmi or crossfire tank, both are HIGH pressure, which is what u need on an e-bolt.
If u get a lp regulator w/ ONLY an E-bolt, ur pretty much starving the gun, so u dont need it.
U dont need lpk or a lpr at all for an e-bolted tippy. It's fine the way it is, trust me. Just get a good HP tank(45-88ci/45k) and barrel(j&j ceramic - dye ultralite - empire barrel kit...) and some home mods(clicky pen spring, polished internals, ...) and look at that! U got a kickass tippy

I want something that'll give my gun good consistancy and accuracy. Therefore I chose a reg W/O the lpk. If I were to run my HP tank on my tippy with just a reg and no LPK, would it do anything for me and would it even work? This is the thing I've been trying to figure out for the past 6 millenia.

Ok fine, the answer is no, it would starve the gun of air, low pressure reg on a high pressure marker just doesnt mix. If ur worried about running out of air, then get a bigger hp tank. consistancy? u wont need a lpr to make it more consistant. Same goes w/ accuracy.

omg ur so confused.
impulses run on low preassure....
the low preassure reg simply refers to the regulator that regulates the air that cocks the gun. the inline reg is the reg that the air goes thru...the inline reg however is set to low preassure.
read your manuals

Ok look I got a great Idea for u Presidente! get an e-bolt and whenever u wanna use a low pressure gun, use ur IMPULSE! If u ever want a high pressure gun, use ur TIPPY. see? it all works out!
