Proper PSI

This may be sorta silly, but I took apart my gun to put in a new double trigger and I turned in the pressure switch all the way like i was supposed to. The thing is is that I forgot how many turns i did and i doesnt say in the instruction booklet. I tried shooting a few ball and changin the pressure but it still didnt seem to be right.

preassure swtich?

there is no preassure switch on a tippmann.

you might be refering to the velocity adjuster...and you can never tell where the correct setting is.....the only way to check is to choronograph it.

yup. if u mean the velocity adjuster you just need to chrono it. every tippy is slightly diff. there is no certian number of turns. also, you don't need to touch the velocity as a result of switching to a double trigger.

yes you do you need to remove or screw in all the way so it does not get caught on the body and break the power tube..... So I take it you have never taken a 98 apart?

actually NO YOU DONT need to remove it or screw it in.

It is just a lil tougher cuz u gotta angle it a certain way to get it off and to put in back on...however it can easily be taken off.

Nice try

thank you slug. you DO NOT have to remove it. i took my tippy apart and put it back together within a week of getting the thing. that was over 3 years go. guess you just don't have the skills to put the protruding screw through the hole in the body

Yes i did mean the velocity adjustor, my poor wording. The instruction do say to turn the switch all the way in, and I'm paranoid about that so I did. i think all you people that say it doesnt need to be turned need to watch your words too. If the instructions say to do it, its prolly something worth doin espicially when theres no consequence except losing th e proper PSI. Which sux, but whatev

the instructions only say that so the screw doesnt snag the body as mentioned earlier. if its already screwed in to the point that it is not sticking out of the power tube then it wont snag anyway.
