First, welcome to the forums. You should read the forum rules and post in the correct forum though. This does belong in the Tippmann forum.

Your A-5 will not need a lp when using compressed air but it will help the performance of the gun. I still would not recomend getting it, I would save for a better gun. I do not believe there are upgrade bolts for the A-5's but even if there is it will not be needed, either will the valve system. I just recomend keeping your A-5 stock and saving for a B2K4, BKO, or Impulse.

Good luck in the forums and on the fields.

depends if it is LP or HP tank and an A5 riuns best about 700 to 720 on HP so if you are using an HP tank you are wasting air with every shot without a secondary reg.

there is no such thign as a pure energy 3000 low preasure tank.

and we are talkin about low preassure kit here....not a reg

and according to you...your wasting air every Co2 shot too since CO2 is around 800 psi.

everythign cant be perfect...having a HPA tank in the first place will greatly increass your markers consistancy

It's a HP air tank (PE 48cu-3,000 psi) screwed to the AS adapter.
I'm asking because today, (25 degrees!) I started to break alot of balls (Blaze)
I tried differant Freak inserts and also tried spraying silicone in the barrel. No better results. I was thinking an LP kit would push the balls out instead of banging them out?
I do value your guys opinion that's way I join this forum. If you have an Tippmann with a LP installed, give your results.

I would just try the winterpaintballs like polar ice or something.

I have a question though, this whole spraying the silicone into the barrel is foreign to me. Could you elaborate a little on that?

I imagine it's to make it slick enough to clear breaks easier, just like running RainX through it?

i dont think so...i think its supposed to let the ball travel "easier" thru the barrel.

which actually if you have a lil bit of lub in the barrel it makes the ball travel easier and you can get a perfect paint to barrel match.

however dont put stuff in your barrel...most paintballs have actual oil on them...you can see it in the bag if u look closley...this oil is used to put a tad bit of oil in the barrel to smooth out the firing of the paintball.

however i do not suggest you go lubing up your barrel now.

Do NOT lube your barrel. It will make your balls curve. Use winter paint. Make sure your balls stay warm! Even if they are winter balls, they still will get brittle and break on you.

acutally winter paint is not supposed to be kept warm

do not freeze them but if you have spicific winter paint let them sit in the weather ur playin in. You CANNOT use winter paint in weather above 40 degrees...above that and the shell is so hard its like gettin shot by rocks...it will never break.

they are made to be used when they are in a lower temp...so use them at that temp.

now if you have normal paintballs then keep them warm

OK. 1st please don't piss off the MOD so he closes the thread, ok?

Spraying silcone in the barrel and letting it evaporate, 1st before playing, Helps the slightly oversize balls to slip out, instead of breaking. I have not seen my balls curve, ect. Haven't tried this with any other barrel other than my Freak.
BUT, you could of had a differant experiance.

Now for those of you that has played in temps lower than 40 degrees:
Other than Polar Ice, which our feild is out of.
What other brands do you recommend??
Where is the best place to get these?
If you can't post them email me, garettwise@msn.com Thanks
