i was talkin to a team on the net about the last tourney we were at and they said they can in fourth because the other team was Sandbaggin

What does this mean

Sandbaggin is when players from higher divisions play in lower divisions. It's like an Amateur player playing in a Rookie division.

well that sucks then cause the team i am talkin about could have won that tourney easy but i think the other teams got caught
there team is so good they have no sponsors or nothin and they pay for all the tourneys and stuff and they are ownin everyone they are in first in the standings

Yea sandbaggin mostly occurs in local tournaments. Once you get into the bigger tournaments it doesn't happen as often. That sucks for that team I know how they feel, we've had that happen before. You just have to deal with it.

it wasn't a local tourney for us or the team i am talkin about they are from Va and we are from Nc but i think the team was from maryland (where we played) they prolly told them they had no tourney experience

What field are you talking about in Maryland, I play at a couple. I was talking about small local tournaments, I didn't mean local as near you.

i was on insane paintballs forum and a local team did it and said they won 1st in a cfoa or mspa or somethin. Some guest said "what would have happened if you would have played in your own division" they just replied "we would have won a bigger trophy" haha i thought it was pretty funny.........yea....

Yea I'm back from college and I've started playing tournament ball again so you'll be seeing alot of me now.
I would like to know where the term sandbaggin came from too. If you think about it the term doesn't even make sense for what it means.

sand baggin os when a team plays a division lower then they probably should to destroy people and win. momma's boys in passed seasons can be seen as an examply (well, they sandbagged in my opinion).

ussually at local tournys there are 1-4 teams per division sandbagging. the last one i played at there was only 1 sandbagging team so we got 2nd.
