i was broke as hell when i was younger. i spent all my savings on getting an impulse and from the little money i got weekly i spent on paint, i had no money a few years back. then i got good, played for tippmann effect at 16, and had everything paid for me and had things given to me for free. since then its been pretty much the same. once you get to a certain level, paintball gets cheaper. aside from airfare and hotels, my paintball career is paid for and anyone can do the same, you just need to bring yourself to that level.

oh and vta... i recommend practicing better players and getting your personal skill better and then joining an already established and sponsored team. you wont get anywhere starting your own, and youll waste a lot of money doing so. just meet people, get your name out there, and tryout for as many local teams as you can. things will go from there.

Not if everyone around you is rich and hires real landscapers.

Money is not the problem. Its having the skill for it.
Take me for example. I started playing speedball with a Imagine last season. This season i'm already recruited to play 3-man for the second best AXBL team. It doesn't matter what money you got. Its what skill level you can bring.

Thats true, but not completely. A team won't want you if you can't afford paint to play.

true but paint is affordable. at least down here.
I saw some zap paint for 72$ US a case. Thats freakin' pricy for wal-mart paint.

the way i got better was playing people that were better than i was. by doing that i was able to match their skill level and rise above it
