Starting a team
I'm thinking about starting a team... Well, I'll skip the ****, here's my problems.
Cash. Me and the 3 friends that I was thinking of are tight on cash, adn all shoot piranhas. Not very good tourney guns
Experience. I can listen to a problem and tell you the solution. My friend comes crying to me saying his gun is broken when he breaks an O-ring. Same with the other one...
Getting owned. I want to play in some tourneys, but I dont want to get stepped on by some people who are shooting 30 balls a second over my head and atre shooting expensive shiny markers.
To help cash I was thinking about a sonsor. No, not from Dye or some big paitnball company.. I was thinking of going to some local stores, and looking for an employee/manager who knows what paintball is. Even a closeby field. I'd ask them to pay for paint and air, and in exchange, we'd fly their banner, wear their t-shirts instead of a jersey, and maybe even offer to come by and clean up their store/help out for the day. And if we won something, maybe have a deal so that they would give us a cash bonus or something.
I dont know what to do. Ideas/suggestions?

You seem to have many things to worry about. That's why you shouldn't start a team. Go to the local shop, and ask about tryouts for local teams. Then they would have the problem of getting sponsors. You won't have to worry about experience, because teams that are running tryouts through shops are, for the most part, better teams. Now the only thing you have to worry about is a new gun: save + x-mas/b-day + selling your Fish. The only problem is leaving your friends behind, but you have to take 'risks' sometimes.

I'm not playing in a team if its not with my two bros. I want to start a team with these two kids. I guess what I'm going to do is ask a local field if we can practice for a bit on teh weekends. For however much $$ or whatever. But all three of us pretty much came up with the ideas, and by leaving them thats saying "I'm better then you" and I'm not that kinda guy.
There is no question that we're not togethor. If I'm going to join a team, its going to be with Zack and Mike. What if I play well with the members but dont get along with them? I hang out with these two kids, and I'mnot going to ditch them for some random team because I need to practice. I already know who is going to be in my team. I need to know HOW to get Money and what to do for drills. I should've been mroe specific. I don't leave my friends... The situation is final.

Wow. No need to 'go all out'. Just practice as much as you can, ask your parents to help you with your sport. As time passes, you will get much better, along with your gats.

I have a job unlike many people. I'm saving half of my paycheck in the bank for a better gun, and the other half usually goes to paintball or food.
And dude, Fox4 is like an hour away from my house. And I don't have a car. I've been there only once. I wasn't too impressed with their woodsball field. Way too confusing. ITs like this...
"Okay dont go past the purple becuase thats the enemy base, but if you go into the orange, you cant leave the orange or your out, and remember the boundary is marked in black tape. Your base is green and if you look hard enough you can see yellow tape, which is the flag area and the red tape is the enemy base? Got it? GOGOGOGOGO!"
All they did was clear ou the trees and put in all man-made bunkers, which is nice, but dont get rid of theforest.. Thats what makes woodsball woodsball. I can just go to a speedball field way closer and way better if I wanted to play speedball.

to get a sponsorship just go out and ask a local shop if they could sponsor you and you wear there name on you jersey and they pay you a little or what not so you can pay for paint air stuff like that and the more you get noticed the more people will help out and the better companies you can get. We went and asked our local video store and our team now gets to wear is stores name and we get 10$ a month and 10% of movies yeah. Or go to your local shop and ask them if they'd sponsor you and if they do dont look for a big gun sponsorship just be lucky if your getting like 5% off gear or anything like that cuz thatll save you a little more money for stuff you need!!!

Cash- since you already have a job get your friends to get one also. Then put like 1/3 or whatever amount you can spare to the team everytime you get paid.
Expierence- it will be gained with time. Can't expect to own your first time. Do your best all the time.
Getting owned- pratice and scrimage againest teams until you all feel ready. If you keep getting owned after that practice and thinking about all that you are doing right and wrong and how to fix it.
Sponsors- ask a local field and let them see how you guys play as a team. Then after some tournaments send a resume to a better company asking for sponsorship and so on.
ps Good job sticking with your friends.

I hope you can get that rag tag team of yours together. Since most teams start like that, (As mine) we've come a long way. We're training about once a month, and we're going into a tourney next month. Can't wait, good luck Alpha.
And remember: Watch your six.

With the proper teammates, I won't have to worry about my 6 becuase my flanks will be as tight as an 8-year old.
