I play a little bit of paintball, and I watch a lot too. I'm pretty sure that you get a 1 for 1 (you and a teammate are eliminated) if you continue to play after being hit. You get a 2 for 1 (you and 2 other teammates are eliminated) if you over shoot which is to continue to shoot an opponent after they're out. And I'm not sure but 3 for 1 (you and 3 other teammates) if you're caught wiping a hit.
Most tournaments run PSP rules now a days. You can do a search and find the rules. If they don't use psp then they'll say what type of rules they are using.
