Do most tournaments have common rules? if so, what are the usual penalties for wiping and everything else?

I play a little bit of paintball, and I watch a lot too. I'm pretty sure that you get a 1 for 1 (you and a teammate are eliminated) if you continue to play after being hit. You get a 2 for 1 (you and 2 other teammates are eliminated) if you over shoot which is to continue to shoot an opponent after they're out. And I'm not sure but 3 for 1 (you and 3 other teammates) if you're caught wiping a hit.

Most tournaments run PSP rules now a days. You can do a search and find the rules. If they don't use psp then they'll say what type of rules they are using.

Although locally we're lobbying for the tournaments to switch to USPL rules.

Mostly similar rules, except PSP = 10 bps cappped, uspl = uncapped semi.

I think that it should just be no ramping, no helping. Just a semi gun. As fast as you can walk your trigger.

Totally. Which is why i'm a fan of the USPL. They (IMO) got the rules right.
