First tournament 3 Man
The tournament is 3 man team, 30 dollars per team, 35 bucks for 1000, 65 for a case. its indoor and they have two fields, the ground is grounded up rubber, ive heard its pretty hard to sprint on. the prizes are nothing.. well its a trophy, the skill level is rookie/novice
our guns are
2k3 vf cocker egg hopper and new 3way
A-5 stock
Imagine 14 inch JJ ceramic and 12v revvy... or e-99 with 16" boomy
i was thinkin 2 backs and 1 front, the two backs shoot the lanes and hope to get maybe 1 guy out to give us the edge, the frontman moves up to a key bunker with some good angle, a dorrito if they have it maybe.
starts at 8 in the morning, team captain meeting at 820.
any tips for somebodys first tournament,, eat breakfast, get there early so u can walk the fields.
any advice as to what you learned since your first tournament, mistakes not to make ect.... goot setups and stratgies.. btw what kind of players will you think we will encouter for a rookie./novice with no prize? noobs rite?
we are decent, were not dumb.
thanks

no, youll run into people with dm4's and timmys for sure. ive never been to a tournament, even noobie tournaments with all noobs. youll always be outgunned, its like a rule. but you cant be intimidated. and i no gun isnt everything, im just sayin theyll definantly have the advantage.

i just got back from watching a tourny and the field set up is big on how important guns are, on some fields you will get rolled without a fast gun, buut others its just a good advantage to have one

in a three man u had the rite idea. double up in the back center and shoot lanes then send the other person 50 to get the flag. maybe a quick G-1 and 25 points from the flag pull. at least thats wut my team and i do when playing 3 man.

Congrats on the 4th place finish in your first tourney.
Considering you were probably out gunned, did quite well and goes to show you that it's not always the rate of fire that wins tournaments.
We won our first tourney with mechanical markers too and had a great time coming back from a 1-4 win/ loss to came back and make the semi's, then tie for first place in the event.
Keep rocking and rollin with your team and remember to have fun.

Doubling up the back can is a bad idea. Makes it too hard to play because you can't tuck in if you're getting pinched by the other team. Backs should lane off the break until the other team hits their bunkers, then bolt for the corners. Front should try to get the flag off the break or very early in the game to give you the edge. Once you get there, just play it agressive and don't be afraid to move, tear up the other team, and hang the flag.
By the way, great job at your first tourney.
