Great tom petty concert

Last night I went to a tom petty and the heartbreakers concert. The opening act was trey anastasio. Never listened to him but he did a great job and the hippes close to me seemed to enjoy him too.

When tom petty finally came on stage he went right into a song and everyone sang along and almost all his others that he played. Which is nice because most the people I saw walking in looked like they were their just to brag about it later.

About halfway through stevie nicks came on and sang stop dragging my heart around with him and they did an amazing job on it. She sang another song with him before stepping off stage but I forget it.

Petty played two songs off his new album coming out they were alot better than I expected. One was like his other rock songs and the other was an acoustic that everyone in the audience pulled out their lighters on.

He played songs from the yardbirds, fleetwood mac, and travelin wilburys and they did a fantastic job on them.

Stevie came back on for a couple more songs and Petty played about 5 more songs after that before everyone sayed good bye and went off stage.

Then everyone started cheering for an encore and after about 3 minutes they came back on. They sang american girl, gloria which was another amazing cover done by them and one more before leaving again. Everyone headed home after that.

Best concert I've seen so far and was 10 times better than his one last year and his one last kicked ass too. I didn't get any pictures but if you have the chance to see him this year do it. I think my ticket was around 37 dollars total for a lawn spot which was well worth the money.

He played for a little over 2 hours and every song was as good as the last.

Yeah I think he only came to columbus on this tour. Best part though is they sound just like they do on cd which is amazing and tom petty hasn't lost any of his voice yet in my opinion.
