Pink Floyd is amazing, simply amazing. there is this idiot at my school who said that Pink Floyd was hippy music and that they sucked. I almost punched him through a locker. Then, he decided to tell me that only stoners could listen to Pink Floyd. what an idiot but yeah, Pink Floyd def rocks.

Pink Floyd is easily one of, if not the, best bands to come out of the 70's. If you are trying to decide which album to pick up, either get Wish You Were Here (5 tracks, but more music packed on there than two normal CDs nowadays) or Dark Side of the Moon...most Floydians agree that these were the best albums they ever made. The Wall 1&2 were good CDs, and very popular, but the caliber of the music just isn't up to what Floyd is capable of. Another great album is A Momentary Lapse of Reason...very mellow music, as opposed to the harder rock and then 80's type rock you can hear on The Wall.

Yes I'd have to agree that WYWH and DSOTM are my favorites. And I'd also agree that A Momentary Lapse Of Reason is another good album. The mellow music is the kind that I like when I am relaxing. I just bought that CD from zpyro (I couldnt find it in any stores and I only had the 12 " vinal version). a momentary lapse of reason is highly underrated. Another album I like that has the mellow type of flow to it is The Division Bell. It has the same kind of stlye as a momentary lapse of reason. Im still bummed that pink floyd will probably never have a concert again. I think it would be the coolest thing in the world if Pink Floyd had another tour like they did in '94. Everyone says they are to old but hey, the rolling stones seemed to pull it off pretty good so I cant see why Pink Floyd cant do it either.
