Lets see all you PBF bass players!! Now that a guitar group has started, i just had to start a bass players group.
Post here and ill give you a number. Also post what type of bass you have. I have an Ibanez.

I think they should be separate too.....imagine guitar players mingling with bassists....j/k They should be separate though I agree with you

exactly.. bass does not = guitar. They sound different than each other, they have different features, and if a guitar was a bass there wouldnt be a guitarist and a bassist in a band. A lot of people only play one, and I already had a banner, so why not..

actually a bass is a guitar. There are 3 guitars in a band. Lead, Rythm and bass. Bass is a guitar. What do u call it? Bass is like to pump up the music. It has frets, strings, inlays, and the same notes. sound is not different it is just in lower octaves.

They are essentially the same thing, and if you play either one then you can at least do some stuff on the other. If you play the guitar and know the fretboard then the bass is easy, and f you know the bass, then the guitar is easier to start, but you still have to learn some stuff for both.

yeah maille.. you didnt make the banner.. now i remember. there was an old thread for bass players but no one joined and i just remembered that the guy who originally made it got banned a long time ago so im back at #1.. i didnt really think about what i was doing. you can have 2.

ALSO:
when you post to get a number put the type of bass you have. its cool to know what other people play. I have an Ibanez.
