Any new band sucks for three reasons:

They're emo.
They're not original.
They all sound exactly the same.

Starting to? It has been for too long. Some of the "indie" bands and hardcore bands w/ emo traces are good, but straight up emo and emo-pop bands can blow me.

This reminds me of a story though.

A few weeks ago I had to give my neighbor a ride to school for a little while. I had Poison the Well in. After the second track is done she goes through all the songs and hears they all scream a bit and goes "Who is this?" "Poison the Well." "I got an idea, I'm going to put in the Used. " (Not one of my high liked bands) "Uh, Ok." She begins to look through her purse and CD's. "Wait! Have you heard of Yellowcard?" "Don't think so." "Oh, they're really good, you'll like them!" I listened to 2 or 3 songs and said "Hey, lets listen to Bob and Tom. That's funny." And turned the crap off.

I've heard worse bands, but they're not too good. The show I went to last night made me angry, a waste of five bucks. First band (who I missed, got there late) was good...go figure. Second was alright, but played 10 minute VERY repetitive songs. Third, emo. Yay, nothing like a guy with a whiny voice for a half hour. They did have a very good drummer though and like one heavy riff every two minutes or so. But the abortion speaker who talked for 20 minutes made me want my money back. And directly after him was a kid against MTV...when I just happened to be wearing my (kickass) Headbangers Ball shirt.

thier allright, im goin to a something corporate and yellowcard concert coming up pretty soon, but basicly only becasue ill be either drunk or high, and spend they day and night with like 4 extremely hot girls who are all drunk and or high
