well, i use guitar cleaner and it works pretty good. if you guitar is black, your gonna have to deal with the fingerprints. i have an ibanez bass and its black and it constantly has prints on it. the cleaner helps prevent it a bit though. next bass i get, its not gonna be black.

I use windex on the body and pledge on the neck.
Some of my first songs were Brainstew by greenday, when I come around by greenday, time of your life by greenday, smoke on the water by deep purple. I know alot of other peoples first song was seven nation army by the white stripes. that is incredibly easy.

Yeah, the first year or so really sucks. It sucked so bad that I quit, but I'm glad I came back to it. Also, getting private lessons can really really help.

yeah, i quit too for about a year, but if you wanna get your fingers moving faster, practice scales and stuff. its boring but thats what gets you playing fast. also, dont get in the habit of only doing downstrokes/upstrokes, its a nasty habit to break. i was like that for a while (fast stuff i played only downstrokes) and i never progressed at all

get an orange, take off ur strings, stab the orange with a knife, squeeze juice onto the neck & body of guitar (not the head, and dont get any on the tuning machines, pickups or any other metal stuff) and then get a paper towel and rub it all over

lol that sounds like a good idea but I'd rather just use citrus cleaner stuff than stab an orange and rub it on my guitar.
