So I am just getting back into this sport after taking a break for 6 years. I have a 2004 Dark Angel IR3, and have just finished changing out the battery, replacing all the seals, and giving it a thorough cleaning.

I have forgotten a couple of things since it has been a few years, and would like some help thanks!!

-how/where do I oil the internals
-do I need to replace my macro-line. it still looks to be in good shape.
-Will my nitrogen tank still be usable? i.e. will it pass inspection?

thanks!

OLDSCHOOL FREAK!!!!

I still have one of those....

Just a suggestion - if you're looking to get out and go about quickly...you may benefit from finding a gently used tank on the Nation. I suggest this because most people on the Nation I've dealt with have been honest, and shipped fairly quickly via USPS priority 1Rate boxes..and I've received something from California, in Chicago...in under 4 days.

Sending a tank in is going to cost you 2 way shipping, along with shipping times, and hydro queue can be instantaneous (if you're Martix...or...I think Snow has a quick place too)but it can also take places like Ninja 1-2 weeks, or Crossfire a good solid Month...to get around to it.

Beyond that - it never hurts to have a second tank. Having a spare sitting in my car has saved my day out.

So - if you're looking to have spares and backups - a 2nd tank won't hurt to have. Buy a tank, send the other in for Hydro. If you're looking to only keep 1 tank and time tables are not important, send it in to one of the bigger firms (Ninja...crossfire if you want to save a couple bucks and dont' care about customer service... etc.) Or - it might be time to retire your tank, and a lightly used 68/45 would be an excellent and quickly acquired gear addition.

Just suggestions - not trying to spend your money :)

-Tank was able to be re-hydroed. it passed :)
-purchased a new Halo B with v35 and rip drive from a member on here. outstanding fellow.
-bought an old cocker, so when my girlfriend comes with me, I have something to use instead of renting... planned on just rebuilding it to stock, but that has quickly changed.
