Theres not really any restrictive laws on paintball guns around here aside from the obvious like shooting paint off of your property. You can walk down the street with the gun aired up and filled with paint. As long as its bagged up and safe then the worst anyone can do is call the cops and have them come kindly ask you to leave it at home.(of course I dont reccoment doing that)

True theres nothing out of the obvious. I shoot in my backyard all the time. The neighboors only ask I clean any paint that gets over the wall. Cops dont trip.

As for your drive. I recently moved *drove also* from PA. to CA. Had my gun fully intact sitting behind my seat the whole time with EMPTY AIR TANK!. If you do get pulled over and they see it let them know theres no air and if needed prove it HAHA.

Have a safe trip (if you didnt go already) I suggest taking 40 all the way accross. Maybe we can shoot sometime. Riverside isnt to far.

Well I am now in CA and waiting for my stuff to arrive out here (movers took to long getting it on the truck)

As for my guns and gear they had to go on the truck cause there was not room in my car to put the duffel bag every thing goes in. But i took picts of every thing and made an innovatory of it incase any thing is broken or damaged.

As for the drive I went up to Pittsburgh to see some family then took Route 80 west till it met 15 south and was in Riverside

If you have the marker in the trunk of your car you will be fine. You don't have to dissassemble it completely, but I would not have the air tank, hopper or barrel, on it when you transport it. If you get pulled over, its no big problem. If the police ask to search your car, by all means tell them up front that you have a paintball marker in the trunk -- it ain't worth the misunderstanding if they "find" it there.

I can think of no state that does not allow you to transport a marker and accessories in the trunk of a motor vehicle. I can think of many that will not let you carry one in the passenger compartment.

As for when you get to CA -- just call the local law enforcement agency in your area. Ask them what the particular ordinances or laws about paintball markers are for your town, county, or community. They will be more then happy to let you know.

thanks to the STUPID MUSHHEADS in MERCED, who shot the D.A., i don't want to think about what is going to happen, regarding PB guns and the gun laws in this state, or even this country.

i BARELY found this site about 2-3 days ago, so no, i didn't notice how old this thread was, and besides, the news that i brought to your attention was important enough to revive this thread, don't you think?

newb tips of the day: (and this is for your own good, im not being a dick)
1. check post dates, people dont like the same topic of descussion for 3 months.
2. use search feature, the news you "revealed" is indeed old.
3. dont argue with senior/respected members or the mods/admins.
4. dont say "mushheads"

well, i won't refer to them with any kind of respect, because they acted thoughtlessly, and therefore, in my opinion, they should be referred to as being without capability of making intelligent decisions.
